Nelson, 24th— 4.15 p.m., Gothenburg, e.s., for Wellington. The s.B. Ahuriri will sail this afternoon for Napier, returning to Wellington on Saturday next. The s.s. Gothenburg, Captain Pearce, is due here this morning from Melbourne, via Hokitika and Nelson, and will sail this afternoon for Melbourne via Southern ports. She jtakes an English mail. The 8.8. Taranaki, Captain Wheeler, is due at Nelson this morning from Manukau, and ■will leave there for Wellington this afternoon, calling at Picton on her way. She Bails again for Picton, Nelson, Taranaki, and Manukau on Friday, at 1 p.m. The s.s. Ahuriri, Capt M'Kinnon, left Port Chalmers on the 19th inst, at 3 o'clock p.m., and arrived at Ouraaru at 730 next morning. Discharged cargo, and sailed again on the 20th at noon, arriving at Timaru at 4 pin. Left at 9 o'clock on the Bamo evening for Lyttelfcon, and arrived there at 11 a.m. on the 21st ; loft Lyttelton at 3.30 pm. on the 23rd, and arrived in harbor at 3.30 p.m. yesterday. Experienced fine weather during tho passage. The ketch Glimpse, Captain Croucher, returned to port yesterday morning after an absence of seventeen days. Since leaving Wellington she has vifited Driti, Castle Point, Pourere, and Napier, calling at Castle Point on her return hither, during which time she landed 45 tons of cargo at the above mentioned place 9, and shipped 89 bales wool, 7 bales flax, and 5 tons potatoes. The wool, we understand, is the first of this season's clip received from tho stations on the coast, and was transhipped into the Halcione yesterday afternoon The GHimpße sails to-day for Oron«orongo. She experienced very boisterous weather during her trip, and felt the full force of tho late N.W. gale. The Pretty Jane, twin screw, left Dunedin on the 17th mat for Port Molyneux and Catlin River, taking to the latter port the material for the erection of a new saw mill five miles from the entrance, and on the south bank.
