Tararua, Captain Hagley, will sail at noon to day, for Lyttelton, Otago, Bluff, and Melbourne. The Tararua has not been here 6ince March last. She has recently undergone a thorough overhaul, and is now in capital condition for the summer trade. Mrs Maloney, alias Burns, alias M'Mahon, who recently enjoyed Mr Read's hospitality for a month, on the payment of £3, is a passenger to Dunedin. The P. and 0. Company's steamship Nubia, although new on this line, is generally accredited as being one of the fastest in the service, and has at all events proved herßelf equal to carry the mails between Galle and Melbourne in much less time than that allowed by the present contract stipulation. On this her last trip ahe has arrived fully three days within the allotted time.
