G-alle, Sept. S. The Suez steamer Deccan is two days late, owing to the breakage of her engines after leaving Aden. The Avoca met with rough weather on the run up. One sailor, after wounding another, jumped overboaad and was lost. Mr Shafto Robertson, the actor, fell backwards through the engine room skylight on the top of the cylinder, and was picked up insensible. He died after lingering one week, and was buried at sea. The weekly mail to Galfc is in full operation. The new MessagyA&l Maritimes steamers are magnificent. Calcutta, August 26. Further news is received about Dr Livingstone, and supplies of provisiona have been sent. Severe illness is reported amongst the crews of men-of-war in the Persian Gulf. The ravages of cholera and famine in Persia are mitigated.
