Lyttelton, 25th— 4.10 p.m., Ahuriri, for Wellington. 6 p.m., Gothenburg, for Wellington.
The s.s. Ahuriri is expected from fche South this day, and will leave for Napier this evening, instead of Wcdnesdoy, as previously advertisod. Tho s.s. Phoebe, Captain Worsp, left yesterday afteroon for Southern ports, with a fair number of passengers. Sho will leave Ofcago on her return voyage on Saturday, the 30th instsnt, and Lyttelton on the 2nd October, arriving here on fche morning of the 3rd, and leaving the following day for Northern ports. The s.s. Wellingtou, Captain Kennedy, arrived at Nelson yesterday morning. She will be due here to-morrow evening, and will bring over the Nelson Football Club, and a number of their friends. We have beeu requested to state thafc she will return to Picton, Nelson, Taranaki, and Manukau on Sunday next, after receiving the mails and passengera from the s s. Taranaki, which is due here from the South the same day, wifch fcho outgoing Californian mails. The s.s. Taranaki is appointed to leavo Porfc Chalmers on Friday, the 29th insfcnnt, for Lyttelton and Wellington, with the Southern portions of tho Californian mail, which Bhe wiil tranship into the Wellington on Sunday, and return to Lyttelton and Ofcago the following day. The Colonial steamer Luna, Captain Fairchild, leffc Nelson on Monday morning, at two o'clock, and arrived in this harbor at Jli, thus making the passage in nine hours— being one of the quickest on record. She has brought over Mr Lightband and non, Mr Broad, ond Edward Bunny. The barque Annie Bragginton was lying at Nelson when she left; She will sail again for the East Coast to-night, calling afc nearly all the stations betwsen Wellington and Tauranga. H.M.S. Basilisk will sail this afternoon for Taranaki and Manukau, on a cruise. Mr Hackwortb, Collector of Customs, held a survey yesterday forenoon on fche threemasted schooner JLady Bird, now on the slip in Evans' Bay, but tho decision will not be known till published in tho Gazette. A Burvey will be held to-day by Lloyd's agenfc.
