President's Handicap. — Stockwell, 1 ; Pyrrhus, Q ; Florence, 3. There were 32 entries for the Australian Derby, which resulted as follows : — Javelin, \ ; The Prophet, 2; Hamlet, 3. Time, 2 minutes 47 seconds. The race was won with hands down. The Adelaide Spring Stakes resulted as follows : — Pyrrhua, 1 ; Clansmen, 2. Epson Handicap — Captain Cook, 1 ; Sir William, 2 ; Hector, 3. Ormond is first favorite for the Metropolitan Cup prize at 3 to 1.
