The " Southern Cross" of the Bth met., quotes Mr Newmans report of the Share Market to this effect -.—The share market has been unsettled. Vory few sellers of Caledonians at yesterday's rates. Thames somewhat lower. My sales comprise — Caledonians, £157, £157 108, and £160 ; Thames, £28, £27 sa, and £28 10s ; Otago, 85s ; All Nations, £5 ss; Tokateas, 90s. Sellors— Moanataiaris, £5; Inverness, 20a ; Thames, £29. The following appears in the telegraphic news of the same date from the Thames : — Business in the share market is dull in the matter of leading stocks. Tookey shares are scarce at £33 ; Caledonian, buyers, £160 ; Thames, £30 ; Otago, in domand at 82s 6d 5 Nonpareil, 95s ; Golden Calf, 52s 6d j Smiling Beauty, 3s ; Central Italy, 50s.
