NOTICE TO MARINERS.
St. Vincent's Guif — Cape Jeevis. — Referring to a notice issued in January, 1871, notice is hereby given, that on the 10th August, 1871, a fixed bright light will be exhibited from a lighthouse on Cape Jervis, at tho entrance of Backstairs Passage from St. Vincent's Gulf. Tho light tower will be in latitude 35 ° 37' 3" S., longitude 138 c 7' 30" E., and the light will be visible for a distance of twelve fco fourteen miles, on an nrc from seaward from N. 25 ° E. to S. 4 ° E. Tho outer extremity of tho reof projecting from Cape Jervis lies 1600 feet to the S.W. of tho lighthouse. Post Wakefield, St. Vincent's G viv.— Variution 5 ° easterly in 1868.— Notice is hereby given, that tho two leading beacons on Bald Hills have been replaced and enlarged. The upper one, triangular and painted white, is twenty-three (23) feet in height ; the lower one, painted red, also triangular, is twenty-six (26) feet in height. Theso directions tire to be read in connection with those published by this office in September, 1866, and October, 1868. Poet Wakefield, St. Vincent's Guif.— Notice is hereby given, that on and after Monday, the 17th day of July, 1871, a fixed bright light will bo exhibited from a lamp erected on the railway shed at Port Wakefield, for tho guidance of small vessels navigating tho creek and will be visiblef our (4) miles.
