THE SOLE REASON WHY WE HA.YE IMPORTED SO LARGELY THIS SEASON was owing to the inducement held out to our buyers by the unsettled state of the markets, in consequence of Continental difficulties, and TAKING ADVANTAGE OF A FAVORABLE OPPORTUNITY, and buying largely. In many instances we havo been enabled to save fifty per cent on former prices, or, in other words, to buy at HALF PRICE, and in no case less than TWENTY PER CENT. lowrr than last year. Of this our customers shall have the full benefit.
