Alhambra „, 14 England .., 43 — Lochlee ... ... ... 11 83 Edinburgh Castle 33 104 By the above list it will bo observed that our shipments for the season amount to , ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-SEVE N PACKAGES OF DRAPERY, 3 CLOTHING, &o, , Being by far the most extensive hitherto imported to Wellington by any retail house in on« season. t THE SOLE REASON WHY WE HAVE IMPORTED SO LARGELY THIB SEASON was owing to the inducement held out to our buyers by the unsettled state of tho ] markets, in consequence of Continental difficulties, and TAKING ADVANTAGE OF A FAVORABLE OPPORTUNITY, _ and buying largely. In many instances we have been enabled to save fifty per cent on former prices, or, in other words, to buy at HALF PRICE, and in no case less than TWENTY PER CENT, lower than last year. Of this our customers shall have the full benefit. In an advoitisement of this sort we cannot give details, but will note a few of tho special lines, "which no family should be without, as tho price is very little over one-half of that hitherto charged in Wellington for the snme class of poods.
