Wellington, Captain Kennedy, arrived at Nelson yesterday, at noon, from Taranaki and the Manukau. She will leave Nelson to-day for Picton and Wellington, and arrive here to-morrow forenoon. She will sail for Lyttelton and Otago on Monday next, at 2 p.m. The a.s. Taranaki, Captain Wheeler, arrived in this harbor yesterday morning, at ten o'clock, after a remarkably quick passage of 14 hours, having left Lyttelton at 8 p.m. on Thursday, and not 5.55 p.m. as telegraphed, arriviDg here as above. Captain Wheeler reports that ho was delayed two hours at the anchorage after leaving Lyttelton wharf, in consequence of the thick, hazy weather. She left Port Chalmerß at midnight on the Ist instant, arriving at Oamaru at daylight tht> next morning ; sailed again at 6 p.m., arriving at Lyttelton on the 3rd, at 8.30 a.m. She will Bail for Picton, Nelson, Taranaki, and Manutan at noon to-day. We have been requested to state that intelligence has been received by the Marine Office that the beacon on the Richmond Rock, at the entrance to Pelorus Sound, haß been bent over, so as not to be seen, probably by some small vessel coming in contact with it at high water in tho night time, and that masters of vessels entering the Pelorus should r.ot approach the weßtern shore, when in the vicinity of this danger, within the distance of half a mile.
