1 TO CONTRACTORS. THE Telegraph Commissioner is prepared to receive Tenders for the Supply and ; delivery of TWO THOUSAND (2000) i TELEGRAPH POLES, to be delivered at tho Telegraph Stores, Wellington. [ Tenders will be accepted for one thousand !_ or the whole. The poles to be sawn from tho heart of . totara. Tho poles to bo of the following dimensions : — Twenty-five (25) and twenty (20) feet ', long, to be eight (8) inches square at the butt, and six (6) inches square at the top. Five per cent of tho number required will have to be 25 feet long. The poles to be sound, straight, and free from shakes, knots, and sap. N.B. — No pole will be accepted whicJi contains the least sap , or speckled timber. Tenderer a are to specify the price per pole as per sizes given, and the time that will bo required for completing tho contract. Each tender to bo accompanied by a deposit of twenty-five pounds (;C25) as a guarantee of 1 good fuith, which sum will be forfeited by 1 any tenderer should he refuse to take up his tender in the event of its being accepted.
