, o Melbourne. — The ""Argun9 n of the 13th reports : — There is no good flour now to be got under £16 10s, though wo do not as yet quote over £16s ss. Wheat is also very firm ; holders of Adelaide refuse to quote below 7s 6d, and wo understand that figure has been obfcainted for some 2,000 bushels. The cheaper qualities of New Zealand and Tasmania like•Vfise meet with a ready sale. We learn of some 800 bags of the former having been taken up at 6s 7d to 6s 9d. Port MucDonnell is now held for 7s 4d. Feeding grains are very steady, but the sales effected aro not large. Prime oats are disposed of at 3s Bd, and even 3s BJd can bo got for very prime. No business in ordinary sorts has come under our notice, but we continue to quote 3s 6d. Maize— 3s lOd for good, and 3s lid for superior. Tens meet with a fair trade demand for good common cougous at 13d for chests, and 14d for hulf-ohests ; sales also have come under our notice at prices rising from 14-kd to Is 6d. Sale of Stock at Westport. — The following prices were realised last week for a cargo of cattle and sheep, ex Wallabi from Wanganui, consisting of fifty-seven head of cattle and 150 sheep. Tho bidding wus spirited, the cattle averaging 40s per cwt, and sheep 18s to 235, according to quality. — Nelson " Examiner," June 21.
