SUVA HARBOR, FIJI.
We have received the following communication from Captain Agnew, of the brigantine Mary, of Melbourne, bearing testimony to the safety and excellence of the harbor of Suva in tad weather : — " I hereby certify that I lay in the harbor of Suva, Viti Levu, Fiji, from March 16th to the 27th, during whiGh time I rode a hurricane out, with my barometer down to 2875 for four days, and found the harbor to bo as good and safe a harbor as any I had ever been in. Excellent holding ground in twelve fathoms water, Mr Brewer's house bearing east, and the point S.E. I found a good entrance between the reefs, and steered north by west until a large hill, like an old crater, beara Jf.W. by N.|N. ; a email island on tho port hand bearing N.W.iK, and a peculiar hill on the port hand, that looks like the dome of a church, bearing W. by N.£N., when haul up east for Mr Brewer's house, taking care, when going through the reefs, to keep a good lookout on the foreyard, and the reefs can plainly be seen ; and after hauling up east, be careful to keep the lead going, and not borrow to the eouthward of east, as it i 6 one mass of foul ground on tho starboard hand, and not to haul up before those bearings are on, as there is a dangerous point, and there are no buoys laid down, I" James Stewart Agnew, Master. « Suva, March 27, 1871."
