RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before J. C. Crawford, Esq., R.M.) Monday, March 24. DBTTNKENNESS. John Parr, who had bqen locked up since Saturday for this offence, was discharged without any further penalty being inflioted. George Bowen, for a similar offence was fined ss, though he aggravated his cose by resisting the arresting constable. ASSAULT. J. J. Williamson charged Denia M'Eenny with having assaulted him ; but as the evidence disclosed that there had been extenuating circumstances, plaintiff having impounded M'Kenny's horse, and as tho assault was of a very trifling character, a penalty of only 10s was inflicted. VAGRANCY. Ann Groves, alias Worrell, a woman who has at previous times appeared in the Court, once in a woeful plight, and on the verge of insanity, was remanded for eight days.
