The Shipper's Circular speaks of a singular case of fraud. Mr Frederick Morris, a merchant of St. Botolph Lane, Borne time since consigned three cases of moleskin trousers, valued at £300, to a correspondent in Melbourne, through the agency of a man named Sheppard. On the arrival of the cases at their destruction, nnd their being opened, instead of trowsora, they were found to contain old pickle bottles and saw dust. The agent, Sheppard, has acknowledged to the offence. A warrant has been issued for the apprehension of tho offender. Wanganui Steam Nay. Co'a Shares.— The " Chronicle" says that Mr Lewis put up fifty shares of tho above company's stock on the 17th, in lots of five shares each. Mr Freeman became the purchasor of five shares at £3 7s 6d.
