MR NATHAN AND THE ALBION HOTEL.
TO T.ITK EDITOIt OF TUB INDEPENDENT. SIH, — I see by your issue of (.ho 19th instant, a reference to the application for the license of the Albion Hotel, that some statements were made in Court respecting mo which are totally false. The Magistrates were informed on that occasion that I hud agreed at the tiino of sale ! to transfer the ojv the 17th of April, but upon being applied to I refused without receiving £100 bonus. The facts are — I never made any agreement to transfer, neither was I aeked until Mr Nathan came on the lVtb inst. to demand possession nnd the license. I asked £100, not for the license only, as it was made to appear, but for everything in the bouse as well — furniture, stock, &c. Now, Mr Editor, this may be a legal transaction to go to Court, make those sort of statements, and obtain a license entirely without my knowledge, but it is I think, to say the least of it, a very unusual and unjust one. Apologising for trespassing co far on youv valuable space. — I have, &c, David Baccy.
