The Wolverine has come in from Batavia with sugar and rice, and the entire cargo, amounting to 1800 bags sugar and 700 bags Boedhi Raja Rice will be offered for sale publiclj on Tuesday next.
Notwithstanding these arrivals, the market for sugar is still very stiff ; we believe business is pending, and likely to be carried through, which will have the effect of stimulating the market, and imparting to it a very firm tone.
