' L_tte_ton: llfch— 6.ls a.m., Tararua, from "Wellington. The s.s. Rangatira arrived at the wharf at 11.30 yesterday, having left Opunake at 8 p.m. on Saturday evening. She had smooth water all the way, and brings a portion of fche crew of fche ill-fated Airedale. No other passengers arrived by her. The s.s. Taranaki left the wharf yesterday morning afc ten o'clock, with a number of excursionists on board. The barque Camille, Captain Tucker, arrived in harbor on Saturday night, after a rather lengthy absence from port. The ' barque Anne Melhuisb, Captain D. Williams, Bailed yesterday morning for Newcastle, N.S.W. She was temporarily in charge of Captain Scott, her present captain having "broken his leg some two monfchs back, by a fell from a horse. Captain Williams having completely recovered has again taken command of his vessel. The three-masted schooner Ladybird, Capt. Williamson, from Newcastle, N.S.W., arrived in tbis harbor yesterday morning, after a passage of nine days. She left Newcastle on Friday, the 3rd instant, and arrived off the Heads on Friday afternoon last, thus making the run from port to port in seven days. Capt. Williamson reports having passed the City of Newcastle from this port bouud to 35Tewca8fcle, The borque Heversham, Capt. Yule, arrived in harbor yesterday morning, from Newcastle, after a quick trip of nine days. The Heversham left here on Feb. 11, and was signalled on Saturday, thus making the trip both ways, in addition to loading and discharging, in twentyseven days. She brings 700 tons of coal, consigned fco Captain Williams.
