» Monday, Maiich 6. (Before J. 0. Crawford, Esq., R.M.) T7NEEGIBTERED DOGS. D. Asher, James Rickard, and W. Jordan, were charged with having unregistered dogs in their possession, and were each fined ss, with costs 6s 6d, DBTTNXENNESS. Robert Craig, charged with drunkenness, was remanded until to-morrow. Benjamin Martin, charged with being drunk and incapable, was fined 10s, or, in default, 24 hours' imprisonment. John Palmerston, for being drunk and incapable, was fined ss, or, in default, 24 hours' imprisonment. INDECENT BATHING. Walter Remington, Frederick Harper, Robt. Palmer, and Frederick Freeth, were charged with unlawfully bathing within view of a publio place. The defendants were cautioned and discharged. The Court then adjourned. Willing Victim. — A paper is going the rounds about a girl dying from tight lacing. An editor, commenting on the fact, says : — ' These corsets should be done away with, and if the girls can't lire without being squeezed, we suppose men can be found who would sacrifice themselves. As old as we are we would rather devote three hours a day, without a farthing pay, as a brevet corset, than see these girls dying off in that manner. Office hours almost any time.' The ' girl of the period' in Arkansas is described as thirteen years old, shoeless bonnetless, stockinglesa, with the sheriff after her for stealing a horse.
