Friday, Maboh 3. (Before J. 0. Crawford, Esq., S.M.) HOBB DOG yiKBS. D. Bell and Q-eo. Thomas were oharged witli having each an unregistered dog. Withdrawn. Messrs Delaneyand Olaridge were each fined 5s and costs 6s 6d for owning an unregistered dog. Mr Warcup, for the same breaoh, was fined ss, costs being remitted. W. N. Luxford was oharged with a similar offence, but the case was adjourned for a week; and a case against Mr Teretin was adjourned till Tuesday. John Kirkcaldie, Huntley Elliott, Wm, M'Namara, and Mr Claytoa, were each fined 93 for having an unregistered dbg in possession. OET7BITY TO A HOBBB. Wm. Bitohie was oharged with cruelty to i hor c. Mr Evans gave eyidenos. that ho ivitnegjed the punishment indicted, whioh was 79rj severe. Defendant produced a witness L who did not consider the punishment any- M :hing out of the way ; neither was the horse werloaded j but he knew the horse to be a libber. His Worship could not overlook the 'act that Mr Evans was a man of considerable jxperience with horn s. He therefore fined lefendant the minimum penalty of 5e with ;osts 6s 6d ; but granted time to the plea of poverty CIVIL. In the case of Martin v. Harris, judgment was given by His Worship for £7 iOs for plaintiff.
