AUCKLAND SHARE MARKET.

We have been favored by private bands with the following latest report of the Auckland share market : — The Auckland eharo market haß very much improved during the month, and a otrong impetus has been given to all mining speculation, by the almost unparalleled returns from the now celebrated Caledonian Company's mine. The yield from it eince the commencement of the month has been 15,255 oz, the last crushing having given 7,779 oz melted gold from 80 tons of stone ; and from the present appearance of the mine, from which equally good stone ib being taken out, there is safe ground for the expectation of continued rich yields. From this large return, the Company has been enabled to repay to the shareholders within the space of three weeks, the whole of the capital, aud a email sura in addition to it. All the adjoining claims hare risen in estimation, and I am gratified to report, that up to the present time, speculation has been of a legitimate and healthy kind. The return of gold from the Thames, as far as can be ascertained, for tlfa month of January was 11,865 oz, and for the preceding quarter 39,350 oz. Dividends have been paid since the first of the month amounting to £49,930. The calls made have been but of a trifling amount. Prices have not risen extravagantly^ and it may bo safely stated that in the majority of cases they are considerably under the real value of the claims.
