Tuesday, iEBBUABY 14. (Before J. 0. Crawford, Esq., 3.M.) VAGEANCY. Mary M'Gregor, who had beeH locked up since Sunday night was oharged with vagrancy and also with ill-using hor infant child. Sentenced to a month's imprisonment. COST OF A DOG BITE. Thompson v. Pago.— Claim £6 6a for medical attendance. This was a case between two residents at Karori. Mr Allan appeared for plaintiff, and Mr Borlneo for defendant. Ifc appeared thit on the 18fch October last Mrs Thompson went with her littlo girl in hor arms to Page's shop to make some purchase, and placing her ohild at the door for a moment, a dog belonging to Page ran oufc from underneath the house, knocked the child down and bit her in the arm. The child was laid up for some weeks and was under medical treatment for the bite. Hence the claim for medical expenßO; Judgment waa finally given for defendant, with £3 coats. ALLEGED LAROENY. A charge was made against a little girl aboufc 12 years of age, named Ann Harrison, in the employ of F. Jones, jeweller, Lambton Quay for stealing several articlea of jewelry, her master's property j übutu but was remanded till Thursday noxt, ... ' , >.^--:,..
