* [Fbom Gteeville's Telegram Company, Reuteb's Agents.] Auckland, February 8. Arrived — Queen Bee, from London, with 60 passengers ; Phoebe, and Emerald from Lyttelton. The East Coasl election nominations are Mackay, Skeet, and Kelly. The shew of hands was in favor of • Skeet, and a poll was demanded. An inquest was held to-day, on the burning of the kerosene store. The verdict was " incendiarism by persons unknown." 500 rations were issued to destitute persons last month. Tauranga, February 9. Thames, February 8th — The result of the polling for Waitemafa, to-day is — Henderson Thomas, 212 ; Captain Freer, 73. The water supply works for the township will be commenced immediately. Nelson, February 10. At the Motueka election, the votes for Waimea West were — Sir David Monro, 89 ; Parker, 46, The return of Sir David Monro is nearly certain. Ponedin, February 10. Mr Jago opposes Mr Macandrew for Port Chalmers. The poll takes place on the 15th.
