Nelson: 6th— 6.30 a.m., Airedale for the North. The a.a. Taranaki, Captain Wheeler, left Onehunga at 5.30 p.m. on tho 31st January, and arrived at Taranaki at 8.30 a.m. on the Ist inst. ; left Tarannki at 2 p.m. same day, and arrived at Opunake at 7 p.m. ; owing to the weather being 100 rough to take in cargo proceeded, and arrived, at Nelson at 9 a.m. on t*ie 2nd ; left Nelson at 5.30, p.m. on the 3rd, and arrived at Pioton at 3 a.m. on the 4fch ; left Picton at 6.30 a.m. on tho 4th; called at Bowden's Bay for wool ; and arrived in this port at 2 p.m. same day. ' The ship Celawo, Captain Renant, from London, arrived in this harbor yesterday morning, at 6 o'clock, after a passago of 95 days from land to land. She was detained three weeks in the English Channel, in consequence of very heavy weather. After leaving Land's End, ahe experienced light favorable weather during the whole of the passage, until lier arrival in thiß harbor. She brings a number of first, second, and third class pas•engera, under tbe care of Dr Goold (formerly of Hall's Arctic Expedition) all of whom have arrived in good health. Two births occurred on board, but there were no deaths. We have not yefc obtained the passenger list, but the friends of Mrs Laird will be glad to learn that herself and daughter have arrived in good health, after an absence of a year and a day from Wellington. The immigrants include fifty- nine Norwegian and Swedish, sixteen Irish, and two Scotch. There are twelve cabin passengers, including six nuns of the order of Our Lady of Missions, two of whom will go to Hawke'B Bay, fcwo fco Nelson, and two to Christohuroh. We can compliment the captain and officers on the neat and clean appearance noticeable throughout the vessel, and -Jr Groold on Ite Lealthy appearance of of the immigrants. The vessel lies off Kaiwarra. The ahip Glendower, from London to Sydney, 84 days out, was spoken, and requested to be reported. She had on board Dr Moran, Roman Catholic Bißhop, from Elizabeth Town, Cape of Good Hope, and several priests and nunß, all in good huulih.
