TO THE MERCANTILE COMMUNITY AND MEMBERS OF THE LEGAL PROFESSION AND OTHERS. nnHE Proprietor of the Empire Hotel begs to notify that he is about decorating and fitting up that spacious Hall, known as the LOWER DINING ROOM of the above Hotel, and OPENING it as a LUNCHEON ROOM. The Hall when opened will be one of the largest in tbe southern hemisphere ; and as a rendezvous and lounge for the commercial community, during LUNCHEON hours will be unequalled by any in the Colonies. Tho cuisine will be under the special superintendence of that celebrated chef, Mr 0. Thomas, and the Bill of Fare will be such as the Empire has hitherto been so justly famed for. The prices will be as follows : — Chops, Steakes, Cutlets, with vegetables, 6 D - Soup, Hot Joints, Cold Meats, Entrees, Fish, Salads, Bread and Cheese, with vegetables, r TEA and COFFEE ready at all hours. The Hall will be opened on MONDAY, 9th JANUARY next. Luncheons will be ready from twelve o'clock to three p.m. JUST ARRIVED PER ALEXANDRINA. A SHIPMENT of WINES, SPIRITS, &c. consisting of— Very superior old port Do pale and dry sherry , Martell's and Hennes'sy V pale and dark brandy, in bulk and bottle (very best brands) Fine old Jamaica rum L.L. C.H. having extended his cellerage to the following dimensions— 4oft by 18 feet, connoiseurs will be enabled to sample every article they wish to purchase Those who like a GLASS of GOOD BEER will now have the opportunity, arrangements having been made for a special brewing, the capacious cellar allowing a large stock to be kept in supply, which, by its pubitx and aoquibbd ao-e, will be found far more wholesome than English ale.
