Government Notices TO SHIP OWNERS. fTIHE Telegraph Commissioner is prepared to A. receive tenders for the conveyance by sea from Wellington of Telegraph Poles to the undermentioned places and in the quantities indicated— ' To Patea, north bank of river ... 480 To Opunake ... 520 To New Plymouth 400 The greater portion of the poles will be 20 feefc, the remainder 25 feet long ; the poles to be landed by the contractor one (1) chain above high ■water mark. Tenders to state the price per pole as per sizes given, and time that will be required to deliver them in. Tenders will be received foe the conveyance of the whole, or for each separate place as above-mentioned. Each tender to be accompanied by a deposit o£ ten (£10) as a guarantee of good faith, which sura will be forfeited^ by any tenderer should he refuse to take up his tender in the event of its being accepted.
