The B. a. Phoebe, Captain Worsp, is due hereon the glSth instant, from Manakau with the European mail via San Francisco. She will leave six houra after arrival, for southern ports. On fche return of the Phoebe from the South, ahe will proceed fco Nelson on an excursion trip, remaining there fcwo days, and then come back fco Wellington. The a.a. Tararua is expeoted to arrive here this morning, and will sail the same evening for Melhourne via Lyttelton, Otago, and fche Bluff. The s.b. Rangatira, Captain Renner, will sail for Manakau via Picton, Nelson, and Taranaki, on Thursday at noon. The b.s. Alhambra from Melbourne via Milford Haven, and southern porta is expected hero about the 15th mat., and will proceed to Melbourne via Nelson and Hokitika twenty-four hours, after arrival. She haa been engaged for a pleasure excuraion, and has a number of excursionists on board. The a s. Lord Ashley is in fche floating dock afc Otago, and is expected to arrive here on her way • north about fche 13th inßtant. The barque Estrella is now a -full ship, having been loaded in the ahort space of three weeks, which speaks well for her agents, Messrs Johnston ond Co. She haß about 2300 bales of wool and flax on board, and will sail punctually on the 12th instant. The schooner Kate Grant arrived in harbor afc noon yesterday, from fche Fijis. She left; Levuka on fche 10th, Taviuna on the 15th. Experienced variable winds tbroughout. Shortly after leaving Tavinua, the master of the vessel, Captain Davis, complained of being unwell, and Captain Young, a passenger, was requested to navigate tbe vessel to Auckland. Captain Davieß suffered severely from dysentery, and when fcho vessel was in latitude of the Three Kings the poor fellow expired. The vessel was afc once shaped for Bream Head, wifch the intention of landing the body, bufc as decomposition set in almost immediately, and tbe vessel being becalmed, the body was buried afc Bea, at 12 o'clock on the 27th inst. Tho Poor Knights ■were made afc dusk on fche 28th and since then strong N.E. winds have prevailed until arrival in port. PassengerB — Mr Hogg, Captain Young. — '.' N. Z. Herald."
