Binney reports wheat very scarce at 4s 9d to 5s ; oats, 3s 8d to 3s 9d ; barley feed, 3s 6d ; malting, 4s 4d to 4s 6d ; cheese, 8H to 9d ; butter, overstocked. Glass Works successfully established. The Native Lands Court sitting at Obinemuri has been stopped by two old Maori women. The Judge, and Lis party, Lave returned. Letters just received from the Waikato state that preparations for a large native meeting to bo held at Tokangamutu are proceeding. Seven hundred Maoris are expected to attend, including Titokowaru. The great question to be discussed is the permitting of inland telegraph lines. This requires confirmation. The chief Monanui has joined the King. THAMES, 2nd Sept. Shares in the Caledonian (£2O) have a rising tendency. Long Drives (£10) have a downward tendency. DUNEDIN, Monday. A public dejeuner is to be given to Macandrew. The sessions opened today; the calendar is light. The Cromwell Company crushed 600 ozs last week with fire head of stampers.
