Mr Travers's Lectdre. — This gentleman's , ability as a lecturer is so -well-known that we were not surprised to see such a good attendance) at the Maori House, on Saturday evening. His Excellency and mnny of our Legislative notables were present. The subject was " the changes by eivilifod man on the natural features of New Zealand," and was graphically handled, besides being embellished by vivid extracts from the pages of eminout European naturalists written on the same subject.
