WAKGANttt : 315fc— 12.20 p.m., Wanganui, for Wellinjitou. Bxuff : 30th— 3 p.m., Airedale, for Dunedin. The s.s. Rangatira, Captain Rennev, entpved the Wuitara River, Taranaki, on the 27th August, and sailed the following day for Manukau, -with a cargo of cuttle. This is the largest steamer that has yet entered <he Waitara. The ss. Phoobo cleared tho customs at Onehunga, on Wednesday the 21<th instant, but, owing to the heavy S.E. gale, did not cross the Manukau bar until Sunday, the 28th, at 10 a in., the wind at N.E. with torrents of rain ; proceeded under canvas to Taranaki until 3.15 a.m. on the 29th, "when the wind shifted to the S.E., •with heavy squalls and rain ; started engines and anchored off Taranaki at 11 a.m. on the 29th ; left At 5 p.m. on the 29ih, and arrived oiF tho Boulder Bank, Nelson, at 11 a.m. on the 30th, having experienced most boisterous weather. Left Nelson at 10 p.m. on the 30th. and arrived at Picton at 6 a.m. on the 3Jst ; left Picton at 7 a.m. on tho 31st, and ariived in harbor at. 12.30 p m. yesterday, having experienced light variable wind 3, with fine weather from Nelson.
