Monday, Apeii. 19. (Before J. 0. Crawford, Esq., E.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Henry Hick, for this offence, was fined 5s or 24s hours' imprisonment. THREATENING lANGHTAGE. F. A. Duncan charged with using threatening language to Ebenezer Baker, was bound over to keep the peace, himself in £20, and one surety in £20. INDECENT ASSAULT. Thomas Meagher was charged with, indecently assaulting Louisa Reed, a servant at the Ship Hotel. The prosecutrix deposed that the prisoner had taken indecent liberties with her on the 11th inst, while engaged in making beds. The prisoner was committed for trial, LAEOENY. Henry Wood, a person representing himself as the photographer of H.M.S. Galatea, was charged by Hugh Bradford, manager of the Commercial Hotel, with, stealing 5s which had been laid on. the top of a keg in the bar. John Jones, hair dresser, deposed to seeing prisoner taking something off the keg. Sorgeant Monaghan said that he had received information from his Excellency's Aide-de-Camp that tke prisoner had obtained a passage from Sydney in the Galatea on false pretences, and had stolen a shirt on the voyage. Sentenced to one month's imprisonment with hard labor.
