Satubday, 18th April. (Before J. C. Crawford, Esq., R.M.) DBUNKENNEBS. William Brown was fined 20s for the above offence. BREACH OF STEAM NAVIGATION ACT. Abraham Palmer, master of tho late steamship Cleopatra, recently lost in Palliser Bay, appeared in Court in answer to a summons charging him with having taken two passengers on board at Napier, his vessel not being licensed to oarry passengers. His Worship iaflictod a fine of £4i and costß 9s. DESTITUTE. Mary Brooks applied for a protection order, stating that her husband, George William Brooks, alias William Sherman, had left her for about three weeks without any means of support. Protection order granted. OIVIL. W. F. Mason v W. Hoddor— Claim £9 3s 9d. Adjourned for a week. G. M. Clarke v E. E. Morton — Claim to recover £5 ss, alleged to be duo for expenses as a witness in the late perjury eases. Plaintiff nonsuited with costs. Monday, April 20---brbaoh op constabulary force ordinance. Georgo Biddle, of the Hutt, was fined ss, for leaving his cart and horse without any one to watch it in the public street. DRUNKENNESS. Patrick Cosgrayo, for being drunk, was fined 5 shillings. CIVIL. Thomas Winkley r J. K. Moore— -Claim £14 Nonsuited. a. H. Yeimell r W. Mantel!— Claim £9 Us 2d. No appearance. | H. Yates v Conrad Doihl— Claim £9 6s lOd. Judgment for amount and costs 13s. Several cases in which tho truateo in Wills' estate was defendant, wore postponed till Friday.
