WESTERN AUSTRALIA.

Not only in Victoria was the news of the atrocious attempt received with universal horror and indignation. In Adelaide the people are unanimous in denouncing the crime as an outrage on the claims of loyalty and hospitality, which will injure the credit of Australia before the whole civilised world. The following telegram, dated Adelaide 14th, shows the state of public feeling there : — " The greatest anxiety is shown by the general public to see the telegrams received from Sydney as to the Prince's state of health. A public meeting, to express the feeling of the citizens on the outrage, is called for Monday afternoon (March 16), to allow of tho attendance of the country people. A special service took place in tho Jewish Synagogue this morning, when a prayer was offered for the speedy and perfect recovery of his Royal Highness."
