THANKSGIVING.

" Almighty God, who hast in all ages shown forth Thy power and mercy in the gracious deliverance of Thy servants from the evil designs and practices of their enemies ; we yield Thee unfeigned thanks, as for many other groat and public blessings, so more especially for Thy late maroy vouchsafed to us in shielding the life of H.R.H. the Duke of Edinburgh, and saving him from sudden destruction. Wo humbly beseech Thee, O Merciful Father, to defend and proteot our Sovereign Lady the Queon and all the Royal Family from troasons and conspiracies. Be unto her a helmet of salvation, and a strong tower ngainst the face of her enomies j clothe thorn with shame and confusion, and turn their hearts to penitence and charity. So we Thy servants and the sheep of Thy pasture will always be giving thanks and shewing forth Thy praise from gener- ' ation to generation, through Jesus Christ our only Redeemer and Advocate. — Amen."
