PRUSSIA.
Berliu, Oct. 10, 1867. Zeidlers Correspondence, a serai- official journal here, makes the assertion that at the recent meeting of the Emperors Napoleon and Francis Joseph at Salzburg an understanding was come to aa to the person whom they support for the succession of Pope Pius the Ninth. The city of Hamburg has refused to join the North German Zollverein. King William arrived in the city of Augsburg on the Bth instant on his tour through South Germany. The North German Parliament has fixed the salt tax at two thalers per one hundred pounds. One hundred deputies in the North German Parliament have signed a formal protest against any infringement upon or disturbance of the long established maritime privileges of those German States which border on the Baltic Sea. The Prussian journals still continue to denounce Franco in the most violent manner, I and the government also continues to make immense military preparations. An extradition treaty has been concluded between Prussia and the Netherlands.
