The report of the Marine Board, giving the result of the coast survey in the southeast, has been published. It is altogether in favor of the proposed new harbor in the south- east of Lacepode Bay, aa being the best position along that coast. G-uichen Bay, a litllo further south, is considered good, though not equal to the first-named, lliroli Bay is not recommended, being a bad winter harbor ; while Macdonnell Bay, with its southerly aspect, is condemned as being too much exposed, and requiring a very large expenditure to malce it available.
