L rfIHE Telegraph Commissioner is prepared to X receive Tenders for the supply and delivery of four thousand (4,000) Telegraph Arms, as 1 follows :— The Arms to be cut from the heart of Black Birch or Rata. The Arms to be delivered at the Telegraph Store, Wellington. The Arms to be twenty-seven inches in length, two and a half inches wide, and two and a quarter . inches thick, that is, 2i x2\ inches. The Arms to be bored for bolts and insulators, with a five-eighth auger, as per pattern, being ono hole in centre, througli the greatest depth of wood, and two holes, one at each end of Arm, through the least thickness of wood. The Arms to be rounded for carrying off water, as per pattern. The whole of the Arms to be delivered within thirty days of signing the contract. Each Tender must state the price for Black Birch, and of Rata Arms, distinctly. Each Tender must be accompanied by a deposit of £10, as a guarantee of pood faith, which sum will be forfeited should Any Tenderer refuse to sign the contract, in the event of his Tender being ) accepted. The usual sureties will bo required of the \ accepted Tenderer. , Patterns can be seen, and further particulars * obtainca at the Telegraph Offices, Wellington. From Auckland to Port Chalmers, calling at Tauranga, Napier, Wellington, and Lyltelton : this service to commence from Auckland on tho 12fch December, 1867, and to terminate at Port Chalmers on the 19th of January, 1868. 2. From Wellington to the Bluff, calling at Lyttelt.on and Port Chalmers ; this service to commence from Wellington on the 23rd of December, 1807, and to terminate at ; the Bluff on the 27th oi' January, 18G3. 3.
