Naw Zealand Gazettes were published on Monday and Tuesday which contain the following notices amongst others.
Brighton is appointed a warehousing port, and has beon approved of by tho Governor as a port for tho importation of tobacco.
A despatch from tho Secretary of State for tho Colonies has beon received, pointing out that foreigners naturalised in New Zealand, who may be desirous of travelling in Europe, should, before leaving tho oolony, provide themselves with some efficient evidence of their identity and description.
It is notified that James Dv Pro Lance, John Charlcß Watts Russell, William Swainson, and John Parkin, Esqs., having, for two successive sessions of tho General Assembly, absented themselves without leave from their seats in the Logislativo Council, their respective seats in tho said Council have thereby become vacant.
Joseph Gills, Esq., of tho Nelson South West Gold Fields, lias been appointed a Justice of tho Peace, and Rcsidont Magistrate ; Colonel do Ronzio Jas. Brett, of Courtney, Canterbury, and Thomas Ritchie, Esq., of tho Chatham Islands, to bo Justices of tho Peace.

In tho Wellington Artillery Volunteers— Dr Leonard Georgo Boor to be Honorary Assistant Surgeon. Date of Commission, 9th October, 1867. In tho Feathorston Rifle Volunteers — James Donald, to bo captain. Date of Commission, 22nd Juno, 1867. Henry Robert Bunny, to bo lieutenant. Date of Commission, 12th October. 18G7. In the Wellington Rifle Volunteer Cadet Corps— George Aieltin, to be honorary captain. Date of Commission, 9th October, 1867.

The p*ort of New Plymonth .has been vnth. drawn from the list of ports approved as ports for the registry of British ships under " The Merchant Shipping Act, 18G4." It is ordered that the Danedin Steam Shipping Company (limited) be wound up by the Supreme Court, under the provisions of part 3 of the " Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860." The total quantity of gold exported from New Zealand from the years 1853 to 1866, inclusive, wa3 3,059,461 ozs; chrome ore, 5306 tona 3 ' cwfc 2 qra j coals, 290 tons ; copper ore, 2374 tons 8 cwb ; iron sand, 161 tona 13 cwt ; plumbago, 7 tons. The total value of the imports of tho colony for tho quarter ended 31sfc March last, was £1,697,017, compared with £1,349,850 for the corresponding quarter of last year ; imports at Wellington and Wanganui, £168,977, as compared with £163,548 in the March quarter of 1866. Export? of the colony for the March quarter of 1807, £1,739,988; March quarter, 1866, £1,740,503 ; exports from "Wellington and Wanganui, March quarter, 1867, £123,827 ; corresponding quarter, 1866, £106,592. Tho vessels entered inwards at the various ports of New Zealand during the March quarter, 1867, numbered 265, of 88,056 tons burthen j cleared outwards, 286 vessels, 94,694 tons, as compared with 256 vessels, of 79,340 feoas in the corresponding quarter of last year. The number of vessels that cleared outwards from the port of Wellington during the three months ending March 31, 1867, was 21, of 12,535 tons burthen in the aggregate. By proclamation, tho Governor declares that the Armed Constabulary Act shall come into operation on and after the Ist November next. A Militia general order ia issued from tho Defence Oillce, announcing that the Ist, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th regiments of Waikato Militia ; tho Ist and 2nd companies of Forest Hangers, the ten companies of Taranaki Military Settlers, the Hawke's Bay Military Settlers, the Patea Rangers, the Wanganui Rangers, and the Wanganui Yeomanry Cavalry, will bo disbanded on the Ist October next.
The contract just entered^into between the New Zealand Steam Navigation Company and the Postmaster-G-oneral for the conveyance of the interprovincial mails, is published in Tuesday* Gazette.
