[Before J. C. Crawford, Esq, R.M.] FORGKBY. William llonry Herring was formally examined on ti charge of attempting tq utter a forged cheque, and, on tho application of tho Inspector of Police, remanded till Monday. ABSENT WITHOUT LEAVE. John Marchinont, a seaman of the ship John Bunyun, was charged with having absented himself without leave. Prisoner pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to a week's imprisonment with hard labor, on the understanding that if the yobbgl sailed before the expiration of the sentence prisoner would bo sent on board. ALLOWING CATTLE TO WANDER. Robert Johnson was charged in three separate informations with allowing cattle to wander at largo in the public steeets, and fined to the amount of 6a with, costs. CIVIL. Rhodes v Bergin — £18 lGs. Judgment for amount claimed and costs. Austin v Snmle— £G. Adjourned till Nov. 1.
