Mr Wells to move for returns showing the number of newspapers passed through the post offices in the colony from Ist January to SOth June ofthe present year, and a similar return for the same period of 1866. Mr Wood to move, that in order to ensure • wide circulation of the printed reports of tht Debates and Proceedings ofthe General Assembly, itis desirable that a much larger number of copies be printed, and that the prioe be reduced so as to enable the retailers to soil at sixpence per copy* and thafc duplicate copies be forwarded free of oost to every pubho library and ohamber of com* merce in the colony.
