AS the now Postage Tax comes into operation ou and after the Ist of January, 1867, we beg to apprise our subscribers, that in all cases in which papers aro sent through the post, a ohargo of three shillinos and three-pence peb quarter will be made, in addition to tho usual subscription rate often shillings per quarter* We are now, however, engaged in making ar- ■ rangements with our agents in tho Hutt, Wairarapa, Pahautanni, Porirua, Otaki, Manawafcu, Rangitikei, Turakina, and Wanganui districts, by whioh we hope that any additional charge to subscribers will be avoided. By the usual mail coaches the papers for our subscribers in such cases will be sent to the agents in each of those districts, the OOST OF CAUIUAGE BEIXQ PAID BY THE OFWCB. At first, it. is probable that a few causes of complaint may occur, but if subscribers will at once apprise us how their papers are to be forwarded,, their instructions will bo promptly carried out. By proper management, it will only be in a few cases that any of our subscribers throughout the province will be called upon to pay the postage charge. Whenever, however, any papers require to be sent through the Post OiHce, the amount of postage will bo added to the subscription. The charge for subscription to tho Monthly Summary, posted via Suez, including postage, por annum, will be 0 7 0 ALL SUMMARY SUBSCRIPTIONS MUST BE PAID IK ADVANCE. As these arrangements necessitate a large additional outlay on the part of the Proprietor, hahopes that subscribers in arrear will pay up their accounts promptly.
