The Provincial Treasurer to move, — " For leave to bring in a Bill to appropriate the Revenue for the financial year commencing the Ist of April, 1866, and ending the 31st March, 1867." Mr. Dransfield to move, next sitting day, — ." That the third reading of the Bill to incorI porate the Board of Works for the City of Wellington be made an Order of the Day for Wednesday. Mr. Bunity to move, — " That in the opinion of this Council, the member for Wanganui, Mr. Watt, is guilty of contempt by reason of absenting himself from attendance on the Council for more than one week without leave." Mr. BtWNY to move, — "That in the opinion of this Council, the ' Executive Act' now in force, should be repealed. ! " That the Provincial Government in the next Session should bring in a Bill to carry out such opinion, and to provide that the Superintendent should, not only in the G-ovomment of the Province, by and with the advice and consent of an Executive, who shall be members of the Provincial Council, and who shall hold office only so ' long as they enjoy the confidence of the majority of the said Council." Mr. Brandon to move, — ," That in the opinion of this Council it is highly expedient that a College or Grammar School upon the principles mentioned in a Grant of certain Land • for an Endowment thereof issued by Sir George Grey under the public seal of the Colony, and, dated the 7th day of . 1853, should without further delay be established in the Proj vinco of Wellington, and that the provision made I by Sir George Grey in such Grant should be j supplemented by a grant' out of the General Revenue of the Province." Mr. Halcombe to move, — • " For leave to lay upon the table a petition from certain inhabitants of the province of Wellington, to, his Honor the Superintendent, praying him to grant a license to one John O'Connor, for a House on the Rimutaka Range."
