Sydney, May 28. The Prince de Conde's i*emaius have been removed from Petty's hotel to St. Mary's Cathedra!. A procession was formed soonafter ten o'clock, and proceeded through Margaret, George, and King streets to the cathedral. The cortege extended over half a mile. AH the leading inhabitants were present ; also the G-overnov, the judges, the foreign consuls, the officers of the garrison and'the men of- war in the port, members of both ' branches of the Legislature, and all the principal dignitaries of the Catholic Church and Catholic guilds. The body is now lying in state. An immense number of people lined the streets along the route of the procession. The flags of the shipping ports, Government House, con3ulat.es, and public offices were flying half-mast yesterday and to-day. The Supreme Court adjourned in token of reapect to the memory of the Prince. The Prince de Conde's body was removed from the Cathedral during the night, and placed on board a ship in the harbor. The Commodore, from California; had arrived, with 400 tons of bread stuffs. May 30. Sugars are very firm. Whisky continues advancing. Candies are held for la Bd. Kerosene is dull ; the parcel of the Hartley Company's manufacture is advertised for sale by auction, on Thursday. Manilla rope is held for £65. Maize is firm at 4s 4d. Oats advancing. The P.N.Z. & A.E.M. Co.'s Bteamer Kaikoura has been fitted with a two-bladed screw, with which it is expected she will preserve her speed. A large number of visitors have inspected her in dock.
