The " Grey River Argus" of the 24th ult reports : — The amount of Customs' revonuo collected at tho port of Greymoulh during tho week ending the 23rd hist., was £1313 Ba. 3d. Wo havo nothing particular to report this week trade generally having boon somewhat inactive tho rush to Okarita having unsettled tho mining population. For most articles prices remain at last quotations ; but in some cases a reduction has had to be submitted to to effect sales. Of the principal staples of consumption we may i quote prices as follows : — Sinclair's hams, scurce, tho only holder asks 2s. 4d., but wo have not ' heard of any being placed at thai figure Bacon can be sold in any quantity procurable at 2s. 2d. Flour, Adelaide, in short supply ; Chilian, when forced on tho markot will only fetch £22 10s. to £23 10s. ; in small quantities importers can obtain in much :»* ii'-J/ 1 to £'2>. of 2d. per lb has been obtained. Bottled porter is plentiful ; for first brands 17s. duty paid is our j quotation.
