The N.Z.S.N. Oo.V s.s. Queen, Captain G. F. \ Thompson, left Wellington on Tuesday, 20th ult., at 1.30 p.m., arrived at Lytteltou on the 21st at j 7 p.m. j left again on the 22nd at noon, encountered a heavy S.W. gale off Bank's Peninsular. Shipped several heavy seas and carried away a portion of tho port bulwark, and on one occasion took a lurge quantity of water on board, most of which found its way into the stokeholo ; was obliged to put back to Okan Bay after 12 hours steaming. Loft Okun Bay at 6 p.m. on the 23rd, took the second part of the gale at midnight of the same day, accompanied with a heavy sea and heavy hail squalls ; arrived off Tairoa Head at 2 a.m. on the 25th, and Port Chalmers at 7 a.m., put tho ship on the hard, and cleaned and painted her bottom. Left Otsgo on the 29th
ult. at 1.30 p.m., arrived afc Lyfctelton on tljp 30fch at 1.30 p.m. Left again on Ist April at noon with thick southerly weather, and arrived at Wellington at 11.30 a.m. yesterday.
