THE ROAD TO THE MASTERTON POST-OFFICE.

(T ; the Editor of the Wellington Independent) , Sir,— Through the medium of your popular j jorrnal, I wish to remind the Wairarapa j numbers of the Provincial Council ofthechsgriceful state of the road in front of and approaching the Post-oiln-e, Masteiton. It is absolutely impassable for foot passengers, parents cannot send their children to school, and the neighboring settlers' wives have quite gienup attempting to reach the store, to purchase anything or get their letters. It is tlis: main trunk road and not affected by the District Board. Mr Bunny alluded to its disgriceful state in addressing a public meeting lately. I am, Sir, &c, Settler. Master ton, July 26.
