ARRIVAL OF THE BERAR FROM LONDON.

The fino A 1, iron clipper-built ship Berar, 902 tons register, William Hall, Esq., com- j mander, from London direct, arrived in this harbor at 5 o'clock, yesterday evening- The Berar is almost a new ship owned by Messrs I^cer Brothers and Parker, | and chartered by Messrs Shaw, Savillc and "Co. She left the Downs on the sth February had a fair run down the chau" nel, and finally left the land on the 9th February. From the time the Berar left the Lizard, she experienced favorable breezes and line weather until she crossed the Equator on the Ist March, which was an unusually quick run. The Cape was passed in latitude 42 ° south, on the Ist April. From thence to Tasmania, she was urged on by strong wcsterty winds. Tasmania was rounded on the 29th April in latitude 41° 30m south. J The coast of JN r e\v Zealand was made on Sunday the 7th inst, In the Straits, the Berar was baulked by light variable airs and calms. On Tuesday evening last, Captain Hall saw the schooner Itub} r enter the heads, xipon, which ho hauled oIT the shore under easy sail till daylight. Captain Hall to whose courtesy we are indebted for tho foregoing account of his ship's passage, informs us that ' nothing of importance occurred during the ' voyage.
