The Government Bteamer StKilda, Captain Fraser, froi Dunodin, arrived in port yesterday morning, at 8 o'clocl She loft Otago heads on Sunday morning, with a ligl N.E. wind. At noon the same day, ono of tho flremei named Alexandor Rintoul, got hia hand severely injurei in the engiue room, and Capt Fraser thought it prudent t put into Akaroa for medical assistance. Sho arrived a Akaroa on Monday morning, at 8 o'clock, aud left agaii at 3 p.m. same day. Experienced strong head winds, witl heavy sea uutil reaching this 2Jort. The screw steamer Lord Ashley, Captain Randall, ar rived here on Tuesday at 12.20. Sho loft Auckland on th< 3rd at noon, and arrived at Napier ou tho sth, at 10 a.m The weather was so bad at Napier that communicatior could hardly he kept up between the vessel and the shore: to this cause we owe tho want of onr Hawko's Bay Hies! The Lord Ashley left Napier on the Gth at 1 p.m., and arrived as übove. Sho leaves to-day at 2 p.m. for the south The screw steamer Wellington, Captain Francis, left the Bluff on tho 2nd inst, at 4 p.m., and arrived at Port phalmorH at 8 a,m. Left Port Chalmers on tho 6th at 1.45 p.m., and arrived at Lytteltou at 11.30 n.m. on the 6th. Left Lyttelton on the 7th, at 12.40 p.m., and arrived In this harbour at 5.30 o.m. yesterday, after a splendid run of lfl hours 40 minutes. She brought a largo cargo, and 90 passengers. She leaves to-day for tho north. The screw steamer Albion was to leavo Dunedin for this Port on the 7th instant, calling at Lyttelton. She may bo expected to arrive this day, and will sail for Melbourne via intermediate porta shortly afser arrival. The Wild Duck ia loading very fast, having upwards of IGOO bales wool ou board. We are informed that all the cargo is now engaged and in port. The screw steamer Rangatira, hence, arrived at Manukau on tho 2nd inst She would probably leave on the 4tn, and is therefore due hero to-day, As she was leaving the Wangmui river two native war canoea came out, and the natives performed the war dance. Tho steamer Queen arrived at Port Chalmers on the 3rd at C.30 am.
