SEALED TENDERS (in duplicate) will be received at this office until the 22nd March, at noon, from persons desirous of contracting for tho following services, for a period of twelve months, from tho Ist April next . .— ' Ist For the conveyance of \\ eekly Mails between Wellington, Featherston, Greytown, Carte** ta_ and, Masterton. The Mails to leave Wollington every Wednesday, at 12 noon, and the return Mails to be -delivered in Wellingten tho foTlowFng'-T-Uesddy, at'noon . A period of twentyfour* hours' to bo allowed at Masterton between the arrival and departure of the Mails. 2nd. For-the conveyance of Weekly Mails between Wellington, Featherston, Greytown, Carterton, and Masterton. The mails to leave Wellington every Saturday, at 12 noon, and the return Mails to be delivered in Wellington the following Friday, at noon. A period of twentyfour hours to be allowed at Masterton between tho arrival and departure of tlie Mails. 3rd For the conveyance of Fortnightly Mails between Masterton. Wliareama, and Castle Point. To leave the first named place on the arrival of the Mail from Wellington, and the last-named place after twelve hours notice at the Post Offico. CANDIDATES belonging to the Town Companies of Militia and Volunteers, who intend to compete for the Provincial Government Prizes, can obtain 50 rounds of ammunition, free of cost, by applying at the Militia Office, between the hours of 10 and 12 a.m.. commencing on Wednesday, the Bth inst, provided they bona fide undertake to practise for the above firing.
