Thursday, February 2. 1865.

(Befoie C. D. R. Ward, Esq., R. M.) The cases wliich came on for hearing to-day were solely for the recovery of debts. William Clark v Robertson— Debt £9 5s 8:1 — Withdrawrj.

William Clark v James H. Williamson-— Debt £2 6s IOd — Amount and cosis paid iuto court.

John Brown v John Pond— Debt £21 4s 4|d — Settled out of court.

James Hall v George S. Squires — Debt £2 lO*-. — The plaintiff did not appear.

David Williams v Thomas George, jun. — Tins suit was to recover £1 14s B_<\ for certaiu goods sold to defend ml— Judgment was given for plaintiff for the amount and costs.

For the adjourned case of (J. E. Luxford r John Scott, wbich came on for hearing, judgment was given by consent for £60.

Fkiday, February 3

John Crowder was fined 5s for drunkenness, in default to be imprisoned for 48 hours.

James Brady, for rugrancy and drunkenness, was committed for seven days with bard labor.

J. J. Morris was accused of drunkenness and assaulting a constable while in the execution of his duty. For the first offence he was fined ss, in default to be committed for 48 hours ; and [or the second offence he was fined 40s, in default to be imprisoned for 14 days. John Sbirks and Lucy Shirks were biou^bt up charged by Thomas Jackson and John Pilcher with keeping a disorderly house. On the evidence of the complainants they were committed for trial. Bail was accepted for defendants in £100 and two sureties of £50 each.

Fred. J. Johns, carpenter, sued Edward Toomath for £17 14n for work done for him. The case will come on for hearing to-day.
